How We Got Here

01

The Challenge

Mintwood Home came to Fantasium as a growing home décor brand with a dated Shopify store that wasn't converting.

02

Our Approach

We started with a complete Shopify redesign built around Mintwood's brand identity — earthy tones anchored by their signature sage and olive palette (#A3A78D), clean typography, and editorial-style product photography.

03

The Build

The Shopify rebuild prioritized conversion at every level — streamlined navigation, faster load times, and product pages designed to showcase Mintwood's photography.

Mintwood Home came to Fantasium as a growing home décor brand with a dated Shopify store that wasn't converting. Their product photography was strong but the site didn't reflect the brand's refined aesthetic — and there was no system in place to manage vendor pricing, track margins across product lines, or communicate consistently with their growing customer base.

Beyond the website itself, the business lacked operational infrastructure. Their dropshipping supply chain needed optimization, pricing updates from dozens of vendors were being managed manually in spreadsheets, financial reporting didn't distinguish between their online store and interior design segments, and email marketing was virtually nonexistent. They needed a partner who could see the full picture — not just a prettier storefront, but a smarter business behind it.

We started with a complete Shopify redesign built around Mintwood's brand identity — earthy tones anchored by their signature sage and olive palette (#A3A78D), clean typography, and editorial-style product photography. The goal was a shopping experience that felt as curated as the products themselves.

But the real transformation happened behind the scenes. We optimized and now manage their Duoplane instance — the third-party Shopify app that runs their entire dropshipping supply chain. Duoplane handles order routing to vendors, imports tracking information, syncs inventory levels, and serves as the central hub for managing their vendor database. We also built a Python-based vendor price sync tool that automated the tedious process of updating costs across their catalog when suppliers changed pricing — eliminating hours of manual spreadsheet work and reducing pricing errors. We restructured their financial reporting to break revenue into distinct segments (Online Store vs. Interior Design), giving ownership clear visibility into which side of the business was driving growth.

We developed a comprehensive brand guide to ensure visual and tonal consistency across all touchpoints. And we launched a full Klaviyo email marketing program — welcome series, abandoned cart flows, browse abandonment sequences, and a cadence of 12 campaigns per month — built on the rich product photography Mintwood already had in their Dropbox library.

The Numbers Behind the Partnership

Since partnering with Fantasium, Mintwood Home has seen transformative growth driven by a new website, targeted digital advertising, strategic email marketing, and expanded sales channels — all working together.

Annual Revenue

The Shopify rebuild prioritized conversion at every level — streamlined navigation, faster load times, and product pages designed to showcase Mintwood's photography. We implemented advanced collection filtering and a wishlist feature that increased average session duration significantly.

On the operations side, we optimized Mintwood's Duoplane integration to streamline their entire dropshipping workflow. Duoplane automatically sends purchase orders to vendors when customers place orders, imports tracking numbers back into Shopify, and keeps inventory counts synced across their supplier network. We manage the platform on an ongoing basis — maintaining vendor profiles, troubleshooting order routing, and ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly so the Mintwood team can focus on curation and customer experience.

The vendor price sync automation we built in Python connects directly to supplier feeds and updates Shopify product costs automatically, flagging margin changes for review. The segmented P&L reporting we implemented gives the Mintwood team a clear monthly view of revenue, COGS, and margins broken out by their online store and interior design consulting arms — intelligence they'd never had before.

The email marketing program became a revenue engine almost immediately. The Klaviyo integration included automated welcome series for new subscribers, abandoned cart recovery flows, browse abandonment triggers, and post-purchase follow-ups. Combined with 12 curated campaigns per month featuring seasonal collections and new arrivals, email grew to generate over $403K in attributed annual revenue.

The results speak for themselves: revenue grew from $328K to over $1M, traffic scaled from 66K to 500K+ annual sessions, and the email program alone drives more revenue than the entire business generated before we started.
