The things people

Pricing, timelines, platforms, and what it's actually like to work together. If your question isn't here, just ask me directly.

Straight answers,
no runaround

How much does a website cost?

Every project is priced individually. When we first talk, I'll ask what you actually need — then we work out a price that reflects that: your goals, and what genuinely has to happen on the site to get you there.

Pricing covers the whole thing: scoping the project, building it, support along the way, and ongoing support after launch to make sure everything keeps working the way it should.

Do you work with businesses outside of Bozeman?

Yes. Bozeman is home base, but I work with businesses anywhere in the country — and anywhere in the world.

Shopify or WordPress — which one is right for me?

It depends on your needs and the kind of business you're running.

For online stores and eCommerce operations, I recommend Shopify. For most other websites, WordPress.

What makes working with you different from hiring an agency?

Flexibility, mostly.

I price each project around what it actually needs, rather than fitting you into a package. I'm not limited in what I'll take on, and I can consult on pretty much anything you're trying to figure out.

And when something isn't a fit for me to take on directly, I have a network of teams and individuals I work with who can cover it.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the project, but website builds generally run one to three months.

A lot of my work is ongoing, so a fixed end date isn't always the right way to think about it. Either way, when we start working together I'll give you a clear idea of what to expect.

I already have a site and it isn't performing. Can you fix it, or do I need to start over?

I can almost always fix it, and you usually don't need to start over.

This is a lot of what I actually do. Having an existing site often makes the work easier rather than harder — there's something real to build from, and we can make it stronger instead of starting from a blank page.

Do you only build the site, or do you help run the business behind it?

Both. My background is in scaling digital businesses and brands, not just building sites for them.

For Mintwood Home, that has meant managing the Duoplane instance that runs their entire dropshipping supply chain, building a Python tool that syncs vendor pricing across the catalog and flags margin changes automatically, and restructuring their financial reporting so ownership can finally see online store revenue separately from interior design.

None of that is web design. It is the kind of work that actually moves a business, and it is why most of my client relationships are ongoing rather than project-based.

Do I need to provide content and photography?

Generally, yes — content and photography come from you.

If you need help creating them, I can point you toward people who can.

What happens after launch? Do you offer ongoing support?

Ongoing support is always included. Launch isn't the finish line.

I want your site to be in a genuinely good place when we step away, so post-launch support is part of every project — and we agree on exactly what that covers before we start, so you're never guessing where the line is.

Do you do SEO?

Yes — it's a full service line: technical audits, keyword and market research, on-page optimization, local search, and content strategy.

What that means in practice: a real audit rather than a plugin score. I'll crawl the site, read the code, query the database, and tell you what's genuinely holding you back — then fix it in the order that matters, and report honestly on what moved and what didn't.

Can you help with branding and graphic design too?

Yes. I work with Halle Hauer of Studio 2 Skip, who does excellent work for a lot of my clients.

In fact, I usually recommend tackling branding and graphic design before any web design or content work — style guide, logo, typography, color palette. Getting that settled first makes everything built on top of it better.

What size businesses do you work with?

It doesn't really matter — I work with businesses of all sizes.

A lot of my clients are one-person operations. Others have teams of five to ten. Some are national companies with hundreds of employees.

Can you migrate me off Squarespace, Wix, or another platform?

Yes, absolutely. Migration is one of the core services I provide.

How do we get started?

The best place to start is a conversation. Tell me what you're working on and we'll figure out the right path forward together.

Still have a question?

Every project starts with a conversation. Tell me what you're working on and we'll figure out the best path forward together.
